Built for the surface a towpath actually has: wet grit, loose gravel and long flat miles. The upper is a closed mesh with suede overlays at the toe and the eyestay, which keeps stones out of the weave, and the tongue is gusseted on both sides. The outsole compound is softer than the one on the Verge. It grips better on wet stone and it wears out faster, and we would rather you knew that now than found out in a year. Full-length rubber, 3 mm lugs, 10 mm drop over a dual-density EVA midsole. Concrete is mid grey, Tar black is black, Chalk is off-white. Rinse the outsole under a tap after a gravel day and brush the suede dry, never wet.
