The Gutter is the low top we make the most of. The upper is full-grain leather with a suede toe wrap, stitched rather than bonded at the toe, so the panel that scuffs first can be replaced by a cobbler instead of thrown out. Underneath is a moulded cupsole with a 10 mm heel-to-toe drop and a black rubber outsole cut in a shallow herringbone that clears wet pavement. The lining is unbleached cotton twill and the footbed is removable, so an orthotic drops straight in. It fits true to size; if you are between sizes, take the smaller one. Wipe the leather with a damp cloth, let it dry away from heat, and feed it twice a year.
