Three things, which is all a shoe needs. A double-ended brush with horsehair at one end for leather and a crepe and brass head at the other for suede and nubuck. A 100 ml water-based cleaner with no solvent in it, which means it will not strip a dye or soften a cement line. A 40 by 40 cm microfibre cloth, hemmed, that survives the wash. The cleaner does leather, canvas, mesh and knit; use the crepe head dry on suede and nubuck and keep water off them entirely. One kit is enough for roughly twenty cleans of one pair. It is not a waterproofer: proofing spray is a separate thing and we do not sell one yet.
